the Archive as a Dwelling Place - Dr Chloe Lee - The National Archives
This project reimagines the archive not just as a repository of historical records but as a space of welcome and hospitality. Drawing from trauma-informed approaches, it acknowledges the emotional and embodied experiences of visitors researchers, walking groups, and all who pass through. The result is engagement with the archive, offering a thoughtful guide alongside traditional site information. Featuring six illustrations, it reflects the archive as both a place of research and a space for reflection, connection, and encounter.
